Beverly and Chester family Reunion

"This is the Place." Every thing is peaceful and quiet just waiting for all of us to arrive.

A play ground without kids???? and family????

The first thing we all did was eat and visit. We missed those that didn't come.
Cam still trying to get something to drink.

This dog was the surprise visitor to the party. The first thing he did was to steel chicken right off the table.

"I saw that! And now I'm watching you. Quick move all the food!"

Eddie and Chris had a lot of different games for us to play, and most of us got into the spirit of things and had a lot of fun.

Three legged race. Old and young together.

then we played polo one adult and one child. But most of the kids couldn't reach the ground to hit the ball.
With 2 kids it was a little more even.

This was how everyone ended up doing it, so the kids could hit the ball

Come on Kayden!! Mirabel is going to beat you!!!
The next thing we did, I think the kids enjoyed the most....... Scuba diving

No hands so this was a little harder for the real little kids....except for you know who
He got his fish so fast that I missed getting the picture.

but that's OK because he really got into the game. He's on his second dive

At least he waited long enough for me to get a picture this time.

OK Grandma I got another one.

And some were still trying to get their first fish.

Come on Haylee! Here let me push it closer so you can get it.

Now the older kids turn. Watch out! These kids really are getting down to business.

Hunters prize.

Kayden got his. Time to cool off.

Cordell got his too.

And Haylee is still trying to catch one.

Let me show you how it's done.

Haylee, I'll just sit here and rest while you keep trying, but don't give up.

Way to go Haylee!

OK now it's the old folks turn. "I'll do it if Eddie does it."

So I took off my glasses and scuba diving I went. About this time I realized I still had my watch on and it was under the water. I hope it's water proof.

I caught my fish!
Now for the pie eating contest. So off with the glasses again.
At least I mine's chocolate cream pie.

I'm finished!!!

"You can't be finished already.

This picture says it all...We had a great time.
Thanks goes to Eddie and Chris for all their hard work.

Galen's been busy!!

When your retired that means that you have a lot more time to do things YOU want to do. Right?
Or maybe it's time to do things that need to be done. Our Kitchen light has been slowly giving up the ghost. So Galen decided he could fix it..So he took down the old fluorescent light. We then headed over to Lowes to get a new light. Wow so many lights to choose from, but I wanted one that would give off a lot of light. We found one we both liked and Came home and Galen proceeded to install it.
It really looked nice...but... you could see where the old light had been. Do we still have paint that color???

Yup! and so Galen painted the ceiling around the light and it looks great. Thanks Galen!

This spring He got out his favorite tool..."The Mantis" and tilled all the ground around our house he then went to the nursery and bought flowers and veggies to plant....

Here are his peppers, and yellow neck squish. they are doing really good in fact we had our first squish the other night for dinner. Yummmmm!

the veggies and flowers in the back are doing just as well.
Along our fence on the south side of our house he planted Sun flowers from seeds and they too started to grow....

and grow. It will be fun to watch how big they get.

But His pride and Joy are his tomatoes....planted upside down

and they too started to grow....

He moved them down to K.K. for a while because they got really big. but it was harder to water them every day so he brought them home

Now he just steps out the door and there they are. They even have small tomatoes on them already. I can hardly wait to have fresh tomatoes.
Thanks Galen for all your hard work!

Fun at Kiddie Kollege?

Today Liseanne and Ann came over to help with the agenda. The sun came out and the kids all wanted to go out side to play.
So if you were between the ages of 8years and 18 months...What could you all do together and have the time of your life????
Ride bikes? Play in the water??? "My hands are clean Grandma."
At K.K. we have a lot of grass for the kids to run and play on we have black top to ride our bikes on. swings to swing on Rockets to rock in.......But no they found something much more interesting to play in..........
This little bit of mud

It was fun to throw...but when the moms came out it was..."If you throw it, you
clean it up."

How could I get mad, this was the cutest picture

even the cinder block got a washing

Look at me Grandma.. "Don't touch me with those hands."

OK maybe your hands aren't the dirtiest. but still stay where you are.

Time to clean every one up....the hose works wonders.

give me your hands, arms, legs, feet.....

And head.
MEAN GRANDMA!!!!!! The water is cold!
I didn't know where to start with him so I started at the top and worked down.

This is what he looked like before the bath with the hose.
There really wasn't that much mud but they all enjoyed playing in it.
There was ONLY ONE child that didn't get in the mud and was clean when we came outside. Can you guess who it was????
Go back and look close.
