A Time of Closing

A year ago we got the news that they were going to remodel the Ogden Temple. I was sooo excited. A new temple!! But I neglected to think ahead to the closing and what it would mean to me. Time has a way of coming slow and yet fast, As of April 2nd the temple closed. It will reopen in 18months -2-2 1/5 years. Once I was happy.... now I am sad....What ever will I do?
I didn't realize just how much I loved going to the temple to serve those who came...and the deep lasting friendships I have made.
In all the time the temple has been there and going ever week we had never walked all way around the temple so decided to do so. This bench is just out side the door of the brides room, between the tabernacle and the temple.

What a great place to have your picture taken!
As we walked around we soon found that we were not the only couple that had the same idea we saw many of our friends there. Brother and sister Huff were there, they have been good friends for a long time.
The day after our last day serving at the temple we had a dinner to say our Good-byes
I thought this would be a sad occasion but we were all so happy to see each other we didn't have time to be sad for long.

I took about 150 pictures but I didn't think you wanted to see all of them

these two sisters are the ones that kept the rest of us laughing. lots of times remembered and talked about
new and old friends
friends to be remembered
Friends that on the last day find out they have things in common...Galen taught school with her daughter, and just found it out at the party.
sweet sisters!
Thanks Brother Green for all the things you taught me about the computer and being so patient with me as we scheduled for our group. I'll miss your phone calls
no sad tears just rejoicing in our friendships
Sister Steed...said it all.... "Keep smiling and we'll see you real soon!"
