The Lost is found

Before you read this post I need to apologize up front to anyone and all who have slept in our home in the "girls" bedroom. So sorry to the following people: Brian and Ann, Brady and Stephanie, Joanna and Chris, Sheldon and Wendy, Liseanne and Jeff, Morgan and Madison and anyone I have forgotten about. And by the way It's ALL Liseannes fault :)


After Liseanne graduated from high school she wanted a new pet so she bought a little cute frog. She would feed it and made sure that it had the water it needed, and watched it play................... Until.....................

It got out of the glass container. We looked and looked and looked for this poor little frog. We looked all over in Liseanne's bed room, looked under the stairs, the wash room, every where, finally I figured it must have gone down the drain in the wash room looking for water.

FAST FORWARD 10+ years

I moved the beds out of the girls room, mattresses, box springs, everything out, and as I was picking things up off the floor there was this thing on the floor that I thought was a piece of wood...until I looked at it and I have never dropped anything sooooo fast. It was a dried up old frog.
The poor little thing must have climbed into the box spring and died there and every time we had someone live with us we have used our box springs and so the frog just stayed there.

I really do clean my house. But if you were to go by this story you would wonder.

But to let you all know....... I gave the frog back to Liseanne and she gave it a proper burial.

Halloween Season

This is a long post so if you don't look at it all, I'll understand. As you all know the pumpkin walk was last week and so I'm posting some of the pictures I took.

But most of the carving I did were all these logos..... the pumpkin in the middle asks how many of the logo can you identify?

Then of course there are always the K.K. pumpkins......

O.K. I only took a picture of half of the K.K. pumpkins but you get the picture there are a lot of them.

We Also had some very special visitors

These visitors are from the 501st and they were very nice to come and entertain the people who were standing in line.

They came Thursday and Friday. Most of them were from the Provo area. That's a long drive round trip for 2 nights.

And if course you all know who this character is. He was really fun to watch interact with the kids as well as the adults. He really got into it. The only thing I feel bad about was that I didn't get a picture of Brian with all these guys. By the way his costume really turned out GREAT even if I do say so my self.

But as the night got colder it was bundle up in as many blankets as needed to keep warm. Hot soup and hot chocolate helped too!

OK that was the weekend, but then it was time for the K.K. party and that meant more work

So while dad was out side working we were inside working.......you choose where you would rather have been.....in side or out side.

We couldn't do this without all the help from parents.

Each game has 5 kids to a group and there are 18 groups. By the time you play your game 18 times you are so ready to go home.

We had lots of help this time which was soooooo nice. "The Marshal girls." were all able to sit at one table and help.

Watch out Willey..... the Montgomery girls were a big help at this game.

This was the best spot to be at....refreshments........3 cute little cousins. And what does it take to feed all these cute little kids at the party?

Yup that's packages and packages of cookies.

This little Dr. had the best of it all, lots to eat and teachers to hold him.

What would we do with out Donna..... she does all out dishes and cleans up after all of us.

Catch up!!!

I know that it has been awhile since I last posted on my blog so I thought that I'd better get one done before all our pictures were a month or two old. We really haven't done a lot but I'll post the few things we have done. This is what we see every day as we look out our window...looks like a used car lot.. nope just our neighbor. The funny thing is that there are only 2 drivers... oh yes there is 2 more trucks in the back yard.

There was a kite and balloon festival out at Antelope Island last week end, so we thought it would be fun to go see the kites and balloons. and this is what we saw.......

These were the food booths, and the food was very expensive. A Navajo taco was $8.50 and every thing else was about the same price so we didn't eat there. It doesn't look like many people were there and that was right until about 7:00pm when a lot showed up.

This kite was REALLY BIG it doesn't look like it but it was impressive.

This kite was pretty cool. All the kites that you can see were all hooked together and the one on ground would turn with the wind. OK that's all there was for 2 hours.....:(.....:(........:(...

There was a point that I actually went to sleep. They were supposed to fly the balloons at 6pm and by 7pm we still couldn't see any balloons, and we were tired and hungry so we left.

Labor Day: We decided to go to Park city. Our first stop was the Olympic Park.

This is where they teach the skiers to do the jumps of the slopes.

As he would come down the slope the man in the tower would turn on all the bubbles in the pool for an easier landing. Dad got these 2 picture of the guy just before he hit the water

Other than that, Park city was not the most fun place to be on Labor Day. Everybody was there and the lines went on forever. Dad didn't want to stand in line that long so we decided that when Robyn came in 2 weeks we would try again. At least all the kids would be in school and parents would be at work so the lines would be a lot more user friendly. The rest of the day was walking and walking and walking. Park city really wasn't a pleasant day for us.

They are waiting for their turn to meet "Joshua" the llama. Jeremy Read was kind enough to bring a llama to school so we didn't have to walk down, and cross the street to see them.

Jeremy brought food pellets so all the kids could feed the llamas.

Joshua is very gentle so the the kids could get up close and personal.

Here is Haylee feeding the llama. Chester and even little Grady got to feed him, but I didn't get those pictures. Sorry Grady and Chester. It was a fun activity for the kids.

This morning while on our walk in the park we came upon this pile of biosolids! The city is finishing the park behind the school and they are about ready to put the lawn in. Can you guess what this pile is????? It really stinks, and they were spreading it with a manure spreader. Kiddie Kollege smelled real good today. Well it's....in a nut shell.......human waste(poop) made into fertilizer.

OK this really isn't the best thing to have after the last picture but that is just how it happened. Dad and I went to a bread making class when he bought me our Bosch machine. Well dad has really taken to making bread and he is really good at it. "My dad" would be so proud. Any way Galen has been using different wheat to make his bread...... The only thing differenc between the 2 loafs of bread is the one on right was made with my dads old red wheat(date unknown) and the bread on the left is made with new white wheat.

I must say that Dad makes really GOOD BREAD!!!!!

Haylee called me and asked if she could sleep over on Friday while we were at the balloon festival. I told her that she could sleep over on Sunday night because she didn't have to go to school on Monday because it was Labor day. So this is where Haylee and Chester slept....

Today we bought a new toy for the Kiddie Kollege....A helicopter! Dad had most of it put together by the time I got home from school and so I hepled him finish.
